Discover Kalamazoo Tourism Academy

We are excited to announce the launch of a new FREE training program for anyone in our community who wants to become an outstanding ambassador of Kalamazoo County! Whether this could benefit you personally or others in your organization, please share this information with anyone who may be interested.

Tourism Academy is a web-based training that Discover Kalamazoo will be offering to the community free of charge. It will help community members become great ambassadors of Kalamazoo County by providing tools to talk with visitors about the history, attractions, and the great things they can do while they are in Kalamazoo County. 

Bonus! This is a great ready-made tool to add to your staff training and onboarding, especially for anyone working directly with customers.

The program consists of:

• Overview knowledge of our attractions and events
• Articles written by Discover Kalamazoo
• Short quizzes
• Videos

The modules take about 2 hours to finish and you can take it at your own pace so there is no need to rush through it. You can come back and pick up where you left off. Discover Kalamazoo will continue to update the program and add more lessons.
